The Name “Kalipur Acting Lovers Theatre” is not only a group name, it does also represent our soul who loved to act by theatre, for theatre, from the beginning of the year 1985, the group was been registered under the West Bengal societys registration act.1961 at the date of 27th March 1996.(registration number SO083151of 1995-1996) Since 1985, some young people had borne this name and the group together, and from then they have feed the group by their hard team work, dedication, perfection and economical support though there was many members who has no any economical support. Even at a time when the group had not a singly penny to perform on stage, that time the members had to steal money from their own homes and fulfill their way of satisfaction. Through this ups & downs the group grown up and now we can see the group is mature with its 39 years long experience of struggling and still we are struggling to make it large. The first production of this Group was “Flu” written by “Sailesh Guha Niyogi” in the year 1985 after that we have presented many excellent productions such as “Mukut”; “Dangshan”; “Satabdir Padaboli”; “Dashami”; “Tahar Naamti Ranjana”; “Oikya Bindu”; “Ekti Shabder Pryog”; “Gulshan”; “Je Jon Achhe Majhkhane”; “Bardhomaner Bor Borishaler Kone”; “Bou Niye Behal”; “Badanchander Bjjati”; “Kusumpurer Koinnya” and in the month of December, 2010 we have presented our classical great production Rabindranath Tagore’s Novel based Drama “Ghare Baire” after that we project our next production a Political drama “Tritiya Swar” in the year 2012 which highly acclaimed by all of our viewers and then we turned into comedy and make production of a marvelous comedy “Jai Maa Kali Boarding” in the year 2014 which also highly applause by the audience and from the year 2019 we are performing our running production “DENA PAONA” based on the timeless classic of Sree Saratchandra Chattopaddhyay’s Greatest Novel “Dena Paona”,dramatized and directed by Narottam Prosad Sil & last but not the list 25th July at Madhusudan Manchu in the year of 2023 we produce our latest production”HARI FATIBE” (production assistance by Natya Academy government of West Bengal) written by Utpal Dutt and directed by Narottam Prosad Sil,which also highly appreciated by all our audience & critics. here the group expressed its excellence of experience and we hope that in near future we will present some more greatest production and theatre excellence through our experience and practice.
